1. KOLLAM - VISHAKHAPATNAM 

Train No.08516/08517 Kollam - Vishakhapatnam Sabarimalai / Christmas Season Special Train
  • Train No.08516 Kollam - Vishakhapatnam special fare special train will leave Kollam at 10.00 hrs. from 19.11.2019 to 21.01.2020 and reach Vishakhapatnam at 18.30 hrs o­n the next day.
Composition
AC 3-tier – 4, Sleeper Class – 9, General Second Class – 6 and Luggage-cum-brake van – 2 coaches.

Train No. 06338 will leave from  Ernakulam Jn. at 20.25 hrs every Wednesday & Friday from 11th to 30th December 2020. Train will reach Okha at 16:40 hrs on the third day.
Train No. 06337 Okha – Ernakulam Jn. Bi-Weekly Festival Special (Fully Reserved) will leave from Okha at 06:45 hrs every Monday & Saturday from 14th December 2020 to 02nd January 2021. Train will reach  Ernakulam Jn. at 23:55 hrs on the second day.

Diwali Special Train 2020

 Indian Railway will Start 392 "Festive Special" Train from 20th October to End of the November 2020.

The Railway ministry in a statement said that the decision was taken as the national carrier is anticipating a passenger rush during the upcoming festive season like Durga Puja, Dussehra, Diwali and Chhatt puja, it said.

These trains will be run for destinations such as Gujarat, Maharastra, Kolkata, Patna, Varanasi, Lucknow among others to cater to the growing demand during the ensuing holiday period of Durga Puja, Dussehra, Diwali and Chhatt puja.



To clear the festive rush, Ministry of Railways has approved 196 pairs (392 trains) of “Festival Special" services over Indian Railways to be operated from 20th October 2020 and 30th November 2020. The fare for these Festival Special services shall be that applicable for special trains. Zonal Railways will notify their schedule well in advance," the ministry had announced on October 13.

The timing of these trains will be as per regular trains. Zonal Railways will notify their schedule well in advance.

Festival Season Train in India 2020

 

The Period of Corona and the main festival coming up, the Indian Railways is preparing a plan to run special trains in the festive season. 

The Railways had earlier announced to run 80 special and 40 clone trains in September.

Expecting a surge in the number of passengers during Dussehara, Navratri, Diwali, Bhai Duj and Chhath, the Railways is expected to make this announcement next month
For that  Railways is preparing a plan to run festive special trains to provide convenient travel to passengers.

Railways is planning to run 120 festive special trains. Currently, trains have a long waiting list. This Special trains will run on Mumbai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Patna, Delhi route. At present, talks are on with the state government of Maharashtra and West Bengal. New guidelines will be issued for festive special trains, whose approval will be taken from the Ministry of Home Affairs.


Unlock 4.0 phase to begin from 1 September; Some Trains may Resume

Indian Railway services were suspended in late March as nationwide lockdown to combat the spread of the coronavirus came into effect.
The Unlock 4 guidelines is expected to be issued later this week.


According to the sources, 

The government of India may give some more relaxations in Unlock 4.0  but its implementation in the respective states or Union Territories (UT) will be done on the basis of assessment conducted by state governments.

States Government  will, however, take the final call on reopening the rapid transport networks depending on the coronavirus situation there.

The government is not keen to open schools and colleges.It is expected that there would be hardly any change in international air travel norms as air travel of passengers has been permitted in a limited manner under the Vande Bharat Mission.

The state governments will take a final call on additional activities that should continue to remain prohibited during the 'Unlock 4', the official said.

Which Train Running till August 12 ?

We all are know how Covid-19 Spread in the word and India and Corona cases regular increases in the county , so Indian Railway cancelled all regular mail, express, passenger and suburban services till 12th August .

Avoid Journey if it not important, Stay Safe Stay Home. 


Sources said that the decision was taken keeping in mind the increasing number of corona cases in the country. 

Then which Trains are running Now, 

All special Train running on the Rajdhani routes since 12th May and 100 pairs operating since 1st June  will continuously running till 12th August. These Train also includes like Durontos, Sampark Krantis, Jan Shatabdis and Poorva Express and more. Railways also said that these would have both AC and non-AC classes and fully reserved coaches.

The booking of tickets can be done through online IRCTC website or Mobile Application as well, and advance reservation period has now increased from 30 days to 120 days.

Passenger have been reached Railway station 90 minutes before Train Departure for thermal scanning and other checks in the wake up of the Covid-19 threat. 
Only those with confirmed/RAC tickets will be allowed inside stations and to board trains. 
Passengers will be compulsorily screened and only those found asymptomatic will be allowed to board trains.
